Our little boy was born on July 16th. We are all doing very well and having the most fantastic time.
It was a scary birth in the end. After a fantastic labor, we had an emergency c-section because his heart rate was falling dangerously with the contractions. It turned out his cord was coming out first. We are so thankful for good medical care right now.
I will send out an email to those who sent me their addresses, but it may be a week or so. We are having a lovely week off together as a family, and the c-section recovery is definitely slowing me down a bit. But I wanted to share our wonderful news, and say thank you again for your prayers.

Congratulations! My daughter's b-day is July 18th! :-) I too had a c-section. It just takes time, help, and patience. Enjoy the time with your new little guy!
Woo hoo!!! I had flashbacks reading your post, because Alex's birth was much like that - resulting in an emergency c-section because his heart rate was dipping too low during contractions. It kind of hit me after the fact, and I had some ppd, which my ob says is fairly common in women who had trouble having kids (so a bit of a warning there, although it sounds like you're doing fabulously!). I am SO HAPPY for you!!! Congratulations!!!
