I promise this is the last post on selling things for a while! I'm just curious - I know a few of my readers have at least considered selling on Etsy. This is not something I want to do right now, but it does seem like something I might want to try in the future (I paint). So, if you've tried it, how has it been? Have you hit any of the sort of problems I've encountered in the last few posts? Etsy seems more community oriented, and given that everything is handmade and original, I would guess there isn't much squabbling over quality. But I could be totally wrong. Anyway, let me know any thoughts you have about Etsy. Thanks!
I'm going to start my baby stuff stockpile today, using some coupons Crystal posted last week. Pictures will be coming back to this blog very soon!

Hi! Just wanted to let you know that I recently started and Etsy store. I haven't sold anything as of yet, but it's the first true week that I've had more than one listing.
The set up is very simple compared to e-Bay. The listings are uncomplicated. It's .20 cent per item or item group, per listing. There are some sells fees. However, you get the benefit of several photos per listing and automatically get a store front for no additional cost.
I'll keep you posted as to how things go. My e-Bay business has basically slowed to a miserable trickle lately. Hopefully, Etsy will be better. I love the community feeling you get there!

Thanks Danita. Do let me know how it goes, I am definitely interested. Good luck!
I don't sell on Esty but have purchased there, it does seem easier and most people that I have talked to who sell on eBay prefer Esty.
Personally eBay has gotten to have so many fees, the new feedback system, and Paypal as the only accepted payment that it almost isn't worth it unless you are selling high dollar items. (This is just my personal opinion.)
Best of luck with it.
